They are listening. Disney just launched their Captain America: Civil War store on their website, and far from being neglected, girls are front and center of their ad campaign. The lack of Black Widow merchandise in previous movies launched two different #WheresNatasha hashtag campaigns, but it looks like things may be different this time out.
While the collection still skews fairly heavily towards boys, girls are not left out as they have been in previous years. There are tee shirts, pajama sets, costumes and more, all made for girls. Women have a nice selection of clothing as well. And that’s just in the offerings from Disney itself. Hopefully we will see even more merchandise for girls from licensors.
