Marvel’s superhero love story, Cloak & Dagger, is on its way to ABC’s Freeform Network, according to Variety.
Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson were teenage runaways from very different backgrounds who were kidnapped and subjected to new experimental street drugs by the mob. Tyrone gains the ability to swallow people into the darkness of his cloak while Tandy can now throw daggers made of light.
The duo showed up sporadically in both the Spider-Man titles and the X-Men books.
The series expands ABC’s superhero offerings to a new network, and allows Freeform to add yet another show aimed at teens and young adults as it slowly transitions away from its previous moniker “ABC Family.”
