She’s got the suit, but the not the colors.
The first real photos of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel were captured by Page Six yesterday, but while the costume design is spot on in terms of design, the color scheme? Not so much.
The familiar red and gold accents on the mightiest Avenger’s costume have been replaced with various shades of teal.

The departure from the traditional look is pretty significant — but we’re guessing that this is not her final costume. More likely it is the first version of the suit that she gets from the alien Kree. It has the familiar Kree Hala star on the chest that Danvers keeps to remind her of her namesake and source of her powers, the Kree hero Mar-Vell, in the comics. While we will undoubtedly be getting an abbreviated version of Danvers’ long and tumultuous origins in the movie, Jude Law has been cast as Mar-Vell so it’s a safe bet that who she gets her name and powers from will remain relatively intact.
If you are still disappointed that we didn’t get a glimpse of the final costume, well, that’s what photoshop is for.
Enjoy.
